2019 Cabernet/Syrah
Winemaker Notes
This wine has aged for 18 months in barrel; 10% French, 10% American, and 5% Hungarian Oak.
Tasting Notes
The label is a nod to our friends down under, which is why the label is mirrored upside-down saying Cabernet/Shiraz. Shiraz is what the Australians call Syrah. Within the first swirl of the glass, the blackberry coulis entices you for more. Rich plum and dusted cocoa come alive pairing with the exotic spices. This medium tannin wine lingers with savory herbs and dark berry notes.
Food Pairings
The Cabernet/Syrah is made for a bold dish. This wine complements a beef short ribs or a spicy grilled steak. Pairing a fabulous wine with lamb can make your dish sing. Try the Cabernet/Syrah with a lamb ragout. We also suggest trying this blend with a ratatouille.
