2021 Cellar Club Il Porcellino
Aged for 18 months in equal parts second-fill Hungarian, French, and American oak. The result is a complex blend of rich fruit flavors with balanced oak influences. The French oak adds subtle vanilla and spice, the Hungarian oak imparts a hint of sweetness, while the American oak brings forward toasty, bold notes, creating a smooth and layered finish.
Tasting Notes
Our Il Porcellino showcases vibrant flavors of ripe raspberry, balanced by rich notes of espresso and earthy undertones. Hints of sweet balsamic and fresh sweet basil add complexity, while the finish reveals layers of cedar and toffee. A harmonious blend with both boldness and finesse.
Food Pairings
Pairs beautifully with a rich tomato and red pepper bisque, complementing its earthy and balsamic notes. Lamb chops enhance the wine's depth, while a coffee and pepper-crusted New York strip paired with aged Parmesan brings out its espresso and toffee flavors, creating a harmonious dining experience.
