2018 Cellar Club Le Petit Sanglier
Another classic Bordeaux blend with lower alcohol, lending to a balanced food-friendly wine. -Chris Eberle
The 2018 Le Petit Sanglier (translation: small boar) marks our fourth vintage of producing a Bordeaux blend. This wine has quickly become a favorite to many for its rustic characteristics balanced by a velvety palate from start to finish. Aromas and flavors of cranberry and blueberry combine with notes of leather, allspice, and vanilla leaving you thirsty for more.
This rustic quality of this wine begs for a dish made with game, pan-seared duck breast with a cherry compote, or a wild boar red Bolognese sauce served on pappardelle. The Le Petit Sanglier will also pair nicely with French dip sliders with melted provolone cheese, roasted leg lamb with lentils, or a garlic-herb pork crown roast with a side of sweet potatoes and drizzle of cranberry sauce.
Varietal 56% Merlot, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Malbec, 6% Petit Verdot
