2020 Cellar Club Le Petit Sanglier
This marks our sixth vintage of producing a Bordeaux-inspired blend. 100% 2nd fill French oak and 18 months barrel aged.
Tasting Notes
The 2020 Le Petit Sanglier translates to small boar in French. This wine has quickly become a favorite to many for its rustic characteristics balanced by a velvety palate from start to finish. Aromas and flavors of rich cassis, red currant, and a freshly baked cherry pie draw you in. Hints of hazelnut and dusty oak linger on the finish. The upfront fruit with robust tannins makes this a great pairing partner.
Food Pairings
This medium-bodied wine begs to be served with salt and pepper-crusted Ribeye with a side of polenta. You may pick up a slight truffle hint in this wine, making it complement a mushroom risotto dusted with truffles. This is a wine that could be tucked away and served for a special occasion .
