2001 Steinbeck Syrah
The 2001 growing season was an average growing year, with only two warm spells' the first occurring in late May and the second during late September. The remainder of the season resulted in typical warm days and cool, coastal evenings allowing the grapes to reach full ripeness while still maintaining good acidity levels. There was no rain during the ripening or harvest season. Harvest began August 29th and ended October 31st.
